The Malaysian Hash Council(MHC) was founded in 1996 by a group of senior hashers with the following purpose:
- To up-hold the spirit and comradeship of hashing.
- Assist in the development of new Hash chapters in Malaysia.
- That the Biannual Malaysian Nash Hash Event is being continued and properly organized.
Council’s membership as at 2011 stands at total of 195 members. Memberships are made up of registered Hash chapters in Malaysia.
The annual election of committees to the Malaysian Hash Council takes place during the Malaysian Nash Hash event which takes place every 2 years.
